Find out about Lindsay’s new arrival. And learn how Curtis gushed over the baby. Get all the details below.
Lindsay Lohan Welcomes Baby
Freaky Friday star Lindsay Lohan and her husband Bader Shammas are celebrating the arrival of their baby boy. Named Luai, the infant was born in Dubai. And Lohan’s rep told People that “Lindsay Lohan and her Financier husband, Bader Shammas, welcomed a beautiful, healthy son named Luai. The family is over the moon in love.”
But one very special celebrity feels almost as excited as Lindsay and Bader. And Oscar-winning star Jamie Lee Curtis, 64, turned to social media to congratulate her “movie daughter” Lindsay about her baby boy. Curtis shared a throwback pic of herself with the 37-year-old new mom.
“My movie daughter just made me a movie grandmother. Blessings to Lindsay and Bader for the birth of Luai! @lindsaylohan,” wrote Jamie Lee. The pic dates back to when the two appeared as mom and daughter Tess and Anna Colman in the 2003 film Freaky Friday. And the actresses hug and smile in the pic.
Jamie Lee Curtis Stays Close To Lindsay Lohan
But Lindsay and Jamie Lee have stayed close friends ever since they worked together 20 years ago. For instance, Lindsay recently shared that Curtis offered her advice during her pregnancy. “I spoke to Jamie Lee Curtis recently,” revealed Lohan. “And she was like, ‘You just bring the baby with you and everything will be fine’.”
And to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of Freaky Friday, the two actresses recently reunited for an interview. As a result of that reunion, rumors spread about a possible sequel. And Jamie Lee even teased her prediction that it will take place. Curtis recently did a global promo tour for her film Halloween Ends.
But Jamie Lee shared, “As I went around the world with Halloween Ends, people wanted to know if there was going to be another Freaky Friday. Something really touched a chord.” And so when Curtis returned from her promo tour, she made a phone call to begin the process. “When I came back, I called my friends at Disney and said, ‘It feels like there’s a movie to be made’.”
And Lindsay expressed just as much enthusiasm. “Jamie and I are both open” to a Freaky Friday sequel, shared Lohan. “So we’re leaving it in the hands that be.” However, she added that the two actresses agreed that they will “only make something that people would absolutely adore.”
