The family source said that the actress, who had started taking opiods again, was under the influence at the Golden Globes. Her interview at the awards show was used as a reference, where she was featured slurring her words and needing to hold onto her friend for balance while she spoke.

At the time of her death, it was reported that she died of a possible cardiac arrest, but her actual cause of death has been deferred until after the toxicology test was complete and it could take several months.

How Lisa Marie Presley Died Following Hospitalization

A few hours before her death, Lisa Marie reportedly complained of abdominal pain. On the morning of her death, she was found unresponsive in her bedroom and ex-husband Danny Keough performed CPR. After she got an epinephrine shot that restored her pulse, she was quickly transported to a local hospital in LA.

She had reportedly suffered a “full” cardiac arrest and remained in the ICU in an induced coma and in critical condition leading up to her death.

Sources revealed that the star was “pronounced brain dead” when she arrived at the hospital, so family members decided to sign a do-not-resuscitate order “in case she flatlined again,” TMZ reported.
