Lisa Marie Presley Reveals Disturbing Reason Her Mom Didn’t Want To Have Her

Lisa Marie Presley Reveals Disturbing Reason Her Mom Didn't Want To Have HerThe King of Rock n’ Roll’s charm has been something that’s been oft-talked about, even decades after his tragic death at age 42.

They say he could walk into a room and own it within seconds, they say he had the loveliest smile and suave, they say he could enchant with his voice, and Priscilla Presley was left terrified she could lose him because she might not be able to match many of his admirable qualities as a pregnant woman.

Lisa Marie Presley Claims Mom Priscilla Presley Thought “Of Falling Off A Horse” When She Was Pregnant

Lisa Marie Presley and Priscilla Presley didn’t always have the easiest of relationships. When she died in Jan. 2023, Priscilla Presley was about to have the greatest shock of her life; her daughter had removed her as a co-trustee of Elvis Presley’s estate before her death. This – although I’ll call it a bad timing – led to a lawsuit being filed days after her death.

Now we’re learning just how deep and how far back this rift may have started forming in Lisa Marie’s posthumous memoir, ‘From Here To the Great Unknown’ – out Oct. 8.

In the memoir, Lisa Marie said her mom “thought about trying to fall off her horse to cause a miscarriage.”

“She didn’t want to gain pregnancy weight,” Lisa Marie wrote. “She thought that wouldn’t be a good look for her as Elvis’ wife. There were so many women after him, all of them beautiful. She wanted his undivided attention.”

Lisa Marie continued: “She was so upset that she was pregnant that initially she’d only eat apples and eggs and never gained much weight. I was a pain in her ass immediately and I always felt she didn’t want me.”

Lisa Marie Accuses Mom Priscilla Presley of Not Having “Great Maternal” Instincts

Elvis and Priscilla Presley got married in 1967, and welcomed their first and only child together, daughter Lisa Marie, the following year. At the time, Priscilla was 22. Even though Priscilla chose to keep the pregnancy, Lisa Marie claimed she “didn’t have great maternal instincts.”

However, there was one thing she did right: she and Elvis put her first even after they’d broken up four years later. She fondly described how her parents “did a fantastic job maintaining a united front and a real friendship bond” afterward, adding, “There was still a lot of love between them, and they really put on a good front for me. I was very lucky.”
