On Friday, the 35-year-old singer took to her Instagram to share a lengthy post about how she’s fed up with being the subject of mockery to all and sundry online.

The “Cuz I Love You” singer wrote in her March 29 Instagram post, “I’m getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet,”

“All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it.”

She continued, “I’m constantly up against lies being told about me for clout & views… being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look… my character being picked apart by people who don’t know me and disrespecting my name.” The Grammy Awards winner concluded her writeup with, “I didn’t sign up for this shit — I QUIT” with a peace sign emoji.

While the reason behind her post is yet to be known, her comments section was filled with words of encouragement from her friends and fans. Latto wrote, “The ppl need u Lizzo. I remember U made me keep going when I wanted to quit before. Ur soul is SO pure f— these ppl that don’t know you! TEAM LIZZO 4L.” While Loni Love wrote, “Girl don’t let them win… stay off the internet.. hug up yo man… keep working.”

Lizzo — On Lizzo’s Lawsuit Case

Lizzo’s message came almost seven months after some of her ex-employees sued her for hostile working environment and sexual harassment.

The “About Damn Time” singer whose real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson was first sued by three of her former backup dancers for sexual harassment and hostile working environment in August 2023.

The court documents alleged that the incidents took place from 2021 through 2023. The following month, another ex-worker sued her for racial and sexual harassment, disability discrimination, illegal retaliatory termination, and assault.

The singer has already denied all allegations while sharing in a statement that she wouldn’t ever relieve someone of their duty just because of their body size.

Her statement read, “I am not here to be looked at as a victim, but I also know that I am not the villain that people and the media have portrayed me to be these last few days. There is nothing I take more seriously than the respect we deserve as women in the world. I know what it feels like to be body shamed on a daily basis and would absolutely never criticize or terminate an employee because of their weight.”

Two months ago, Lizzo’s attempt to dismiss a sexual harassment lawsuit was denied.
