Lori Loughlin – A Few Months Behind Bars

Loughlin and her husband Mossimo did a few months behind bars for their part in the college admissions scandal, which brought to light the lengths wealthy parents can go to get their children into elite schools. They were one of the highest profile defendants charged in the scheme.

Authorities discovered that parents secretly bribed a well-placed college admissions consultant by making payments into a fake charity. Their children’s credentials are then improved with fake athletic credentials and rigged test scores.

In May 2020, the famous couple admitted to paying the sum of $500,000 to get two of their daughters into the University of Southern California as crew recruits even though neither girl was a rower. Their admittance in court was shocking, as their lawyers had firmly denied that they were guilty of what they were accused of. Their legal team even went as far as accusing investigators of fabricating evidence against them.
