Mandy Moore Signs On For New Show From This Is Us Show Runners

After the bitter sweet end of the fan favorite series This Is Us, actress Mandy Moore has decided to return to TV after a very brief hiatus. Moore will reunite with her This Is Us show runners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger for the upcoming TV show Twin Flames. The show will stream on Hulu.

Mandy Moore Will Wear Multiple Hats For The Hulu Series

Mandy will both act and executive produce the project alongside Aptaker and Berger. According to the series’ synopsis, Twin Flames is based on a true story that delves into the world of “two women who find themselves seduced by the online teachings of a couple who preach that every person has a soul mate called a Twin Flame.”

The women go on a journey of finding that one person no matter the cost. “Desperate to find true love, these two are swept into the increasingly dangerous waters of the Twin Flame Universe.”’

Mandy Moore Set To Return To TV After Six Years On This Is Us

It is unclear if Mandy Moore is set to play the role of one of the women or perhaps the wife of the couple. This Is Us fans know her best as Rebecca Matriarch, the mother to Kevin (Justin Hartleey), Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown).

Twin Flames is derived from a podcast with casting other than Moore yet to be announced. The series will be produced by 20th Television. Moore shared her excitement on her Instagram page.

“Eeeeeek! I am so thrilled for this next chapter and can’t wait to jump into TWIN FLAMES… plus to be reunited with my friends @iaptaker and @bergernight and everyone at 20th [Television]??What a dream!!”

This Is Us Helped Mandy Moore Secure New Role

Moore’s reunion with This Is Us producers comes due to the actress and singer’s strong work on the former family drama that drew millions each week to TV.

“Mandy is one of those rare and exceptionally talented artists who’s as brilliant on the screen as she is off, with a keen eye and natural instinct for uncovering fascinating material,” Karey Burke, the President of 20th Television, shared with Deadline.

Burke went on to add, “Working with Mandy over the course of her award-winning six years on This Is Us, cemented our desire to extend our relationship with her, and we are incredibly excited to develop projects together in the years to come.”

A production date and release date has yet to be announced.
