Mariah Carey Performs A Christmas Classic With Her 11-year-old Daughter, Monroe

On December 11 in Toronto, two angels graciously descended to perform the heartwarming Christmas song “Away in A Manger”. Monroe may be 11, but she’s got some serious pipes.

And the matching fluffy white gowns? I literally can’t get over it.

It was a delightful treat for fans when Monroe joined her mother on stage to sing a rendition of “Away In A Manger”. The mother-daughter performance took place at Mimi’s latest Merry Christmas To All performance at the Scotiabank Arena in Boston.

I have to say that Monroe is really turning out to be quite the star. She actually harmonized with Carey’s whistle notes. Apart from the beautiful harmonies that the mother-daughter duo thrilled fans with, they also went back and forth with the verses, and it was clear that, even though Monroe is yet to reach her teen years, she could well keep up with her mother. And let’s be honest, with Mariah’s range, it’s tough for just anyone to keep up with her.

The beautiful moment took place in front of thousands on a stage that’s decorated to match the spirit of Christmas.

Towards the end of the performance, Mariah looked into her daughter’s eyes and blew her a kiss before she walked offstage.

On Twitter, a video circulated by fans showed the crowds cheering and clapping for Monroe.

However, this isn’t Monroe’s first time performing in front of a crowd of people, or getting to sing on stage with her famous mother.

When Monroe and her twin brother were younger, they joined the Grammy winner to perform “Always Be My Baby” during her #1 to Infinity Las Vegas residency and at a few other shows around 2017 and 2018.

Apart from developing her voice to match her mother’s vocal chops, the pair are starting to twin even in their outfits. The internet buzzed when Mariah and Monroe stepped out in matching outfits and braided hair.
