Matthew McConaughey’s Wife Camila Alves Shares Terrifying Plane Experience That Caused Emergency Landing

The month of March started with a bit of turbulence for Matthew McConaughey’s wife Camila Alves. On March 2, Camila took to her Instagram account to share the terrifying experience she had on air which resulted in them having an emergency landing.

Camilla was among the 172 passengers onboard the Lufthansa flight that fateful Wednesday, March 1.According to Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, the Lufthansa flight which was going from Austin, Texas to Frankfurt, Germany suddenly experienced great turbulence which caused the pilots to make an emergency landing at Virginia airport.

NBC News reported on the same day that the plane diverted to Washington, D.C. in a statement released by the airline to NBC News on Wednesday, the company stated, “Lufthansa regrets the inconvenience caused to passengers. The safety and well-being of passengers and crew members is Lufthansa’s top priority at all times.”

Sharing the scary ordeal with her Instagram followers, Camila wrote, “On Flight last night, plane dropped almost 4000 feet, 7 people went to the hospital, Everything was flying everywhere.” Attached to her write-up were pictures and videos from the scene.

Continuing, the “Just Try One Bite” author wrote, “To respect the privacy of those around me that’s all I am showing but the plane was a CHAOS And the turbulence keep on coming. The @lufthansa flight you are seeing on the news today!!!! Yes … that one. Thank God everyone was safe and ok.”

Camila also noted down how she and the rest of her fellow passengers were able to get help with a place to pass the night at a nearby hotel. While adding, “And we made it to the bar with 1 minute before closing, slept well, getting on new flight today, To the journey I continue.”

It didn’t take long for Camila’s friends and well-wishers to troop into the comment section to offer their support. The likes of Tamera Mowry wrote, “Wow! Glad you are ok! ❤️.”

Rachel Zoe also commented, “Omg dear friend thank gd everyone is OK. I am the worst flyer and not sure i would be as brave as you are right now ‍♀️❤️ sending strength and safety.”

As for Kelly Rowland, she must have been at a loss for words as she only commented with a series of praying hand emojis.
