According to CNN, the President of the United States was front and center at Madison Square Garden on Monday night for the NBA Finals. He watched as his hometown team of the New York Knicks took on the San Antonio Spurs.

And while it was definitely a night to remember for many fans, Melania is thankful that she wasn’t there that night because her husband was greeted by over 50,000 boos.

Sure, at one point Donald Trump probably thought it sounded like cheers of encouragement, but it was pretty clear that no one was impressed that he was there that night.

For the First Lady of the United States, she knew this was going to happen and that’s why she avoided making the mistake of appearing alongside her husband for the game.

As much as Melania did enjoy going to New York Knicks games when she was Donald first starting dating – just like many other Big Apple celebrities – she knows that times have certainly changed.

The First Lady knows that there’s really no point in embarrassing yourself and going out in public when you can just watch the game in the privacy of your own home. But clearly, her husband Donald doesn’t see it this same way.
