Melissa McCarthy recently remembered the most “magical” cast she’s ever worked with, and guess what, they’re the girls from “Bridesmaids.” Isn’t it high time we got a sequel, especially since we’ve got McCarthy ready to jump into character?

Melissa McCarthy – Would Waste No Time In Returning To Film A “Bridesmaids” Sequel
Chatting with PEOPLE, the “Little Mermaid” actress admitted that she’s down to do a follow-up to 2011’s “Bridesmaids“ “this afternoon, right now.” All she needs is to get a call that the sequel is moving into production for her to put on her bridesmaid shoes.
“That group of women was the most magical thing ever,” she said of Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper. “Almost all of us were really good friends already. I think it was such a magical time.”
The Paul Feig-directed film sees Kristen Wiig’s Annie put in the best effort, and I mean the best, no matter how crazy, to be a valuable bridesmaid to her best friend Lillian (Maya Rudolph).
However, things get out of hand when she leads Lillian and her other bridesmaids down an unforgettable and competitive road to the wedding. In the movie, McCarthy plays the role of one of the bridesmaids, Megan, and by Megan we mean the quirkiest member of the group.

The Oscar-nominated actress added that even if the cast was “all in our nineties and [writers] Kristen [Wiig] and Annie [Mumolo] are like, ‘Should we team back up?’ I’d be like, ‘Yes. Yeah, we should.’”
McCarthy recalled her favorite memories on set as the ones where she is surrounded by her girls, adding, that “just being around that many funny people where truly it was like people dropping to the ground because we couldn’t get air in.”
She continued: “From a distance, it must have looked like we all had food poisoning because there was just times where we’d be like… You can’t be around that group of humans and not just be beside yourself.”
