We’ve had to say goodbye to the “Jack Ryan” series when the fourth and final season dropped on Prime Video. The question now is if there’s any hope that fans can still get to experience the world in the way of a spinoff show.
Here’s what star Peña has to say about it.
Michael Peña – Share What He Wants To See In The “Jack Ryan” Spinoff
While the “Jack Ryan” star was not a 100% sure that the spinoff would indeed make it into production, he did share some thoughts on what the spinoff could be like.
In his interview with Digital Spy, the “Ant-Man” and “Narcos” star said of the rumored spinoff, “I have no idea [if the spin-off is happening] to be honest with you. That’s between Amazon and the Clancy estate. I think the fans want to see [it].”
“I [personally] want to see more of Michael Kelly’s character [Mike November]. That’s what I want to see. You know, I’m such a big fan and working with the guy and John Krasinski was awesome too. But we’ll see what the fans want.”
Peña went on to reveal that he wasn’t entirely at ease taking on the role of such an important character in the series because he feared he would mess it up. We’re happy he did take the role because he quickly became one of the fan-favorite characters in the show.
“It’s a great show and John is fantastic in it,” he began. “” binged [the first season] in two days and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So to be honest with you, you just kind of don’t want to mess it up. You don’t want to mess up something that’s like a successful train.”
He continued: “So you study up as best as you can, and then you have to let it go. But sometimes that letting go can be a little bit difficult. That took about a couple of weeks. And then I felt like I was kind of in the rhythm of the show. And from what I’ve seen, it’s good, I think people are gonna like it.”
You can watch all four seasons of the hit show on Prime Video.
