Miley Cyrus’ Latest Music “Flowers” Seemingly Hints At Breakup

Miley Cyrus is back to making music, and oh! You should hear her comeback song! The “Hannah Montana” alum’s newest release which dropped early Friday morning, January 13, titled “Flowers” seems to be throwing shades at her past relationship.

For clarity sake, the “We Can’t Stop” singer met and began dating her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth in 2009. Their relationship lasted for 9 years. The two tied the knot in 2018 but it didn’t take up to a year for them to get divorced.

Miley Cyrus — What Miley’s Song “Flower” Is About

Miley’s song “Flower” is the first song to be released from her 8th album “Endless Summer Vacation.” When the song dropped, it could be heard that the lyrics of the song detail Miley’s heartbreak and her bounce back—after the realization that she can be happy on her own.

The song started off with Miley singing and dancing to her song on the streets of Hollywood. She dressed in a gorgeous, flowing, gold-colored gown with an equally long gold scarf tied in a hijab style, and she sealed the attire with bold dark shades.

The first stanza of her lyrics says: “We were good / We were gold / Kind of dream that can’t be sold. We were right / ‘Til we weren’t / Built a home and watched it burn.”

Yessss, Miley was definitely referring to her marriage with “The Hunger Games” actor, 33. Because, few months into their marriage, their multimillion-dollar Malibu home was destroyed in a wildfire.

Miley, 30, revealed in her lyrics that she initially didn’t want to leave the relationship neither did she want to lie, but at a point, she realized that the things she needed him to do, she could do by herself so she joyfully danced as she sang “I didn’t want to leave you / I didn’t wanna lie / Started to cry but then remembered / I can buy myself flowers / Write my name in the sand / Talk to myself for hours / Say things you don’t understand.”

As the “Wrecking Ball” singer gingerly danced to the chorus of her song, “I can take myself dancing / And I can hold my own hand / Yeah, I can love me better than you can,” a soft sound of the beat to Bruno Mars’ song “When I Was Your Man” could be heard in the background.

Miley Cyrus — Miley Built An Empire On Her Own

The song video showed the “Angels Like You” singer dressed in a hot, black bikini, mouthing the words of her lyrics before jumping into the pool. The video also showed Miley doing heavy workouts in different sexy apparel while maintaining her joy in loving herself.

It also featured Miley dancing in the shower after the hot afternoon’s workout, and when she returned she adorned men’s suit—also black— and danced recklessly to her newfound independence.

Before the song came to an end, Miley could be seen standing on the rooftop, arms akimbo, still in the men’s suit but with no shirt underneath. She was enjoying the view of the building she built all on her own—from the rooftop.
