Millie Bobby Brown Says Starting A Family With Husband Jake Bongiovi Is As Important As Growing Her Career

When Millie Bobby Brown announced that she and boyfriend Jake Bongiovi were engaged, the world was skeptical. They were both still basically babies themselves then, weren’t they?

But Brown shut the naysayers up with a beautifully worded argument, saying, “He wants me to go and do my thing and live my life, and he will hold my hand in the process of that. I was like, Oh, I do want this.” Aww… Who could say no to that?

Millie Bobby Brown Says She’s Always Wanted A Family

The ‘Damsel’ actress, 21, appeared on the Monday, March 10 episode of the Smartless podcast and revealed her future plans with husband Jake Bongiovi, 22.

Even though she acknowledged that she’s really young, having a family was something that she’s always wanted even from a younger age still.

“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake,” Brown said. “Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”

“And my nan, my grandmother is, she was a huge part of my life. And so, yeah, I mean, Jake knows how important it is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally,” she went on. “It’s a huge thing. Jake was like, we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing.”

Millie Bobby Brown Reveals She Wants A “Big Family”

Brown and Bongiovi have more than just their relative ages, their successes, and their love for each other in common: they both come from a family of four children. And guess what? Brown wants to replicate it.

“And my thing was, I really want a family. I really want a big family,” Brown shared. “I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting.”

Touching on the mindset that she and Bongiovi share in running their house, she said, “My home is full of love for anyone and anything, and so that is what we kind of stand by, Jake and I, is our energy in the house is the door is always open, and we want everyone to feel really comfortable.”
