But that romantic perfection made some fans worried. Would Miranda’s dream man block her ability to write those famously tear-inducing songs? Find out what Lambert revealed below.
Miranda Lambert – Reflects On Her ‘Hallmark Marriage’ Romance!
A relationship like a Hallmark romance movie? Sounds too good to be true! But according to Miranda Lambert, her marriage to NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin really feels like life in “some kind of Hallmark movie or something,” shared the country music songstress. “This redneck from Texas meets this beautiful NYPD officer on the street in New York. But it actually happened that way,” she added per Taste Of Country.
However, Miranda went through enough emotional pain to fill up multiple albums before finding love on the streets of New York. Because her divorce from Blake Shelton attracted so much publicity, Lambert feels she suffered in two ways. First, the country music singer felt forced to go through a painful breakup in front of the world. And second, the man she had loved no longer adored her.
As a result, Miranda penned heartfelt breakup songs. But even as Lambert moved on and began a new romance, she focused on always crooning tunes from the heart. And the result won her Entertainer Of The Year.
Miranda Lambert -Music Stays ‘Really True’ To Her Emotions
But Lambert wants fans to understand how her new album, Palomino, reflects her authentic self. “Every time I go to make a record or write a new song, I wanna try to write a better song than I wrote last time,” shared Miranda. “But also stay really true to the truth because that’s how I got here.”
And how she got to her career height includes her challenges during her divorce from Blake Shelton. But as a singer who writes about what she knows, Lambert succeeded in pouring her pain into her album, The Weight of These Wings. And one of those breakup songs, “Tin Man,” even earned the ACM Awards Song of the Year.
However, Miranda admits shock at the on-going spotlight on her split from Blake. “And it’s not nice sometimes,” shared Lambert. “But I think you gotta take it with a grain of salt, and know that I’m a singer-songwriter, so luckily, I can tell my whole truth. I will not lie in my music.”
Because of that desire to stay true to herself, the country music songstress faced a very different challenge after her new marriage. After achieving her greatest success through breakup tunes, how could she keep that momentum going? “Sometimes artists live in darkness and use it for their art, or whatever,” admitted Miranda. But she denies that sad songs require emotional pain.
“You don’t have to be tortured to be good,” pointed out Lambert. “Like, you can write a sad song and not have to live every sad song you ever write. You know, it’s an impossible way to live, and to be.”
