Nick And Aaron Carter’s Mother Alledgedly Tried Hard To Drive A Wedge Between Both Her Sons

Nick And Aaron Carter's Mother Alledgedly Tried Hard To Drive A Wedge Between Both Her SonsNick and Aaron Carter‘s difficult relationship is finally being explored in an upcoming docuseries titled ‘Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter.’ And believe me there’s a lot to unpack from the brothers’ rift, especially the family matriarch Jane Schneck’s involvement in all of it.

Jane Schneck – Blamed Nick Carter For Leslie’s Death, And Tried To Tear Him And Aaron Apart

They say family relationships can be hard, some more so than others, but the Carter family drama may well take the cake for being complicated and frankly, more than a little messed up.

The investigative docuseries exploring Nick and Aaron’s up and down relationship through the years sees the blame fall mostly, if not solely, on their mother Jane Schneck.

According to John Spaulding, whose father is Jane’s brother, the matriarch did her best to create friction and hatred between both her sons, especially following the death of their sister Leslie, who died in 2012 from overdose.

“Jane blamed Nick for Leslie’s death. She told Nick that he should’ve been there for her. He had the money, why didn’t he do something?” cousin John Spaulding says in the docuseries. “I don’t think it was Nick’s responsibility. But I think Aaron took what his mom was saying to heart and I think that damaged their relationship. I think that was her goal, I think she was trying to do that.”

A family friend named Jen, who also appears in the series, further alleged being a particular witness to the harsh words Jane said to Aaron when they learned Nick won’t be attending Leslie’s funeral.

“Once Aaron found out that Nick wasn’t coming to Leslie’s funeral, the first thing that Jane did was tell Aaron, ‘He doesn’t love you. See? He doesn’t love you,’” Jen recalls. “And that’s not the truth. But Aaron became very upset and aggressive… I don’t understand why a parent would push so hard to divide two brothers.”

Nick, 44, had previously opened up about bearing the blame for Leslie’s death in a chat with Dr. Phil in 2013. He described feeling guilt over the whole situation at the time.

Family Friend Alleges Jane Schneck Once Told Aaron He Was Never Going To Be As Good As His Older Brother Nick

Once Nick turned 18, he had swiftly removed his parents, Jane and Bob (who divorced in 2003, 14 years before Bob’s death), as his managers. This move allegedly angered Jane so much she turned it onto Aaron, piling additional pressures on the then-teen.

“Jane was in Aaron’s ear all the time. Anytime Aaron didn’t want to do anything, ‘What, do you think Nick takes a break?’ And I even heard Bob say to Aaron one time, ‘You’re never going to be as good as your brother,’” she recalls. “It ended up being a massive chip on Aaron’s shoulder. Nick had no idea.”

This didn’t cease even when Aaron died in 2022, as Jen claimed the matriarch continued “to pit Nick against Aaron on Facebook.”
