Nick Cannon just stunned his followers by blaming Jada Pinkett Smith’s Facebook chat show for Will Smith slapping Chris Rock. And Nick went even further in dropping bombshells. The Masked Singer host also cheered for Facebook cancelling Jada’s Red Table Talk show.
Find out what Cannon shared about Will and Jada. And learn why he blamed her talk show for the Oscars slap scandal. Get all the details below.
Nick Cannon Blames Jada Pinkett Smith – For Hubby’s Oscars Scandal
Playing the blame game, Nick Cannon believes Jada Pinkett Smith should take responsibility for her husband Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars. And the Masked Singer host explained why. Cannon feels that Jada’s Red Table Talk series on Facebook sparked the Oscars scandal. But Nick also used his podcast The Daily Cannon to cheer the “good” news about the Facebook Watch talk show getting cancelled, reported Yahoo.
“If there was no Red Table Talk, then [Will Smith] wouldn’t have slapped the s*** out of Chris Rock,” claimed Cannon. The Masked Singer host then recalled how Jada’s husband reacted to Chris mocking her shaved head. In response, Will walked up to the stage at the 94th Academy Awards and hit Rock across his face.
But Nick seemed to feel that Jada deserves full blame. And he pointed to one of her chat show episodes in which Will and Jada discussed her “entanglement” with singer August Alsina. Cannon feels that Jada should never have aired that episode.
“I don’t want to know all this s*** about y’all,” added Nick about the couple’s decision to air their dirty laundry. And he shared, “I just want to mind my own Black business.” As a result, Cannon urged them to keep that “s*** to y’all selves.”
Nick Cannon’s – Baby Mama Defends Jada Pinkett Smith’s Show
However, Abby De La Rosa contradicted Cannon. The mom of three of Cannon’s children, Abby felt that Jada didn’t deserve the negative feedback. And she called Red Table Talk “an honest table.” Cannon’s baby mama also praised Jada for achieving a “human” and “relatable” chat show.
“It feels human, like, they’re human,” she insisted. And Abby also opined that by sharing intimate details, Jada and Will demonstrated that “they’re trash too, like the rest of us.” However, the couple may not get an additional chance to demonstrate their supposedly relatable qualities on the chat show. Facebook ended the Red Table Talk series.
Meta, the parent company of Facebook, cancelled the talk show amid other efforts to cut costs. As a result, Red Table Talk, which Jada hosted with her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, and daughter Willow, has ended after five successful seasons. During that time period, the chat show won over 11 million followers. And it also maintained a discussion group of 600,000 members. But the possibility does exist that Red Table Talk could find a new home on a different platform.
