During a conversation on the “No Jumper” podcast, Cannon and others discussed the “freak-off” parties Combs is alleged to have hosted, where federal prosecutors claim he orchestrated drug-fueled sexual activities with unwilling participants.

Cannon, however, refuted any direct knowledge of illegal activities. “I leave early,” he explained, saying that as a DJ, he departed when his set wrapped up.

Echoing this sentiment, Cash “Wack 100” Jones, another frequent guest at Combs’ events, claimed, “I’ve never seen that,” affirming that he, too, exited before any extreme activities took place.

Cannon, who has known Combs for nearly 30 years, supported Jones’ claim, saying, “I’ve never seen none of that either.”

Discussion On Alleged Drug Use And Sensationalized Claims

One of the more striking aspects of the charges against Combs involves allegations of using gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), a depressant, in bottles of baby oil.

Co-host Adam Grandmaison mentioned these accusations, suggesting the substance could have been present in the lubricant found at Combs’ residences. Cannon responded by questioning the sensationalism surrounding the case, stating, “I think it’s so much … that’s sensationalized.”

Jones also referenced accusations involving minors, stating, “The kids, I’ve never heard none of that, bro, with Puff.” Cannon agreed, remarking, “His karma’s on trial.” Cannon also shared his perception of Combs’ evolution over time, noting that “The Puff I knew, I felt he wanted to change and was evolving and was like, ‘Yo, I want to be the father.”

Combs’ Arrest And Federal Charges

Combs was apprehended on September 16 at a Manhattan hotel and later arraigned on several charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and coercion.

He has since been held in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, maintaining his innocence and pleading not guilty to the criminal charges.

The extensive indictment, which was revealed following federal raids at Combs’ Los Angeles and Miami properties, claims that the rapper used his wealth and influence to facilitate a recurring pattern of alleged abuses.

Cannon, known for his outspoken and often reflective commentary, expressed a sense of obligation to defend Combs, whom he described as a friend and a mentor.

Previously, he mentioned, “As a friend, as a brother, I want to defend,” recalling the support Combs provided him during times of personal controversy.

Reflections On Fame, Transformation, And A Changing Legacy

The hosts of the podcast also touched on how Combs’ lifestyle and fame might have affected his trajectory.

Cannon reflected on Combs’ legacy, saying, “If you’ve been a legendary a**hole and by any means necessary… you ain’t gonna have a lot of people rooting for you when [things] get tough.”

Cannon previously disclosed that he attended a Diddy party at 16, adding, “I remember standing outside, you know, trying to get into a Puff party out here in New York.”

Through his commentary, Cannon differentiated between attending Combs’ more publicized “good parties” and the alleged “freak-offs.”

While Cannon was present at some of these parties, he reiterated that he “never saw” anything illegal, adding, “Everybody gets scared to talk because they probably got something to hide but I ain’t got nothing to hide!”

The case against Combs is set to unfold in 2025, with fans and the public awaiting the legal resolution of these serious allegations.

Meanwhile, Cannon and others continue to reflect on the complexities of fame, legacy, and accountability in a world where the lines between public personas and private actions are increasingly scrutinized.
