In the video, Minaj could be heard screaming at the officers who asked her to get in a van so they could take her to the police station.
The American rapper was on her way to her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour” scheduled to be held at Co-op Live arena in Manchester, England when she was stopped and told she was “under arrest” for “carrying drugs.” She kept shouting that she would not go anywhere without her lawyer while repeatedly denying the allegations.
The songstress whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty later took to her X account (formerly known as Twitter) to tell her followers, “Now they said I have to go 5 mins away to make a statement about my security to the police precinct.”
In a separate post, she wrote, “Now they said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they took my bags without consent. My security has already advised them those pre-rolls belong to him. Oh yea & the pilot wants me to take my ig post down.”

Another Instagram video from Minaj showed her finally sitting in the van filming while several officers kept asking her to stop filming them.

An official walked to her and told her that they would want to search her bags again. When she asked him why they didn’t search it properly he replied, “Because you filmed [the police officer]… He doesn’t believe you don’t have more with you than you said.”
She wrote on her Instagram video “They’ve been trying to stop me from coming to every show. They took my bag before I could see them. Put it on the plane. Now saying they’re waiting on customs.” Her post continued, “This is what it looks like when ppl are paid big money to sabotage a tour after all else failed. Everything they’ve done is illegal.”
Meanwhile, Dutch officials had no idea who they were arresting. A spokesperson for Dutch police told NBC News, “We can confirm that we have arrested a 41-year-old American woman at Schiphol Airport because of possession of soft drugs.”
Taking to her X account again, she wrote, “They’re being paid big money to try to sabotage my tour b/c soooooo many ppl are mad that it’s this successful & they can’t eat off me. They got caught stealing money from my travel/jets. Got fired. Got mad. Etc.”

Hours after her posts went viral, Royal Netherlands Marechaussee released a statement on X informing the public that the “Barbie World” artist has been released.
“We have just released a 41-year-old American woman who we arrested this afternoon at Schiphol on suspicion of exporting soft drugs. After consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was fined and can continue her journey.”
