Ozzy Osbourne’s health has been the center of headlines as of late, and recently, the rock star shared some sad news, which coincidently coincides with an update on his last concert appearance.
Ozzy Osbourne Shares Health Update On SiriusXM Series
As fans may know, the lead singer of Black Sabbath was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019 and went public with his condition in 2020. The illness has impacted his mobility and speech, as he continues to decline.
While Osbourne was slated to perform one last show with the band this summer, he recently revealed some saddening news during his SiriusXM series, ‘Ozzy Speaks’.
During the show, he stated that he’s not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath, rather he’ll be doing, “… little bits and pieces with them. I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable.”
He went on to say that he doesn’t want to go up on stage and do a, “… half-hearted Ozzy looking for sympathy.” Osbourne then questioned what the point of that would be. He also doesn’t want to go on stage in a wheelchair; however, it does look like he’ll be participating in some fashion.
The Concert’s Proceeds Will Go To Charity
Earlier in 2025, Osbourne stated Black Sabbath was planning a reunion charity show called, “Back to the Beginning” for July, taking place at Birmingham’s Villa Park. Proceeds are going to the following organizations: Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Osbourne, along with Black Sabbath’s drummer Bill Ward, bassist Geezer Butler, as well as guitarist Tony Iommi is teaming up for the band and Ozzy’s last performance together.
This marks the first time in two decades that Black Sabbath’s original four will be on stage together. It will also mark the last time they’ll be on stage together.
During Ozzy Speaks, Osbourne also talked about his current treatments, stating he is using stem cell therapy. He goes on to note that he doesn’t feel ‘great’; however, he doesn’t know what he’d feel like without it.
