Paris Hilton could have vacationed anywhere in the world. But the hotel heiress’s choice of Maui, where wildfires have caused devastation, shocked her followers.

However, Paris and her hubby Carter Reum both seemed oblivious to the dangerous situation.

Deadly wildfires have made headlines around the world, as Maui works on search and rescue. But for socialite Paris Hilton, it was just another day at the beach.

And pics via Page Six showed Paris and her hubby Carter Reum, both 42, smiling in the sun.

The couple stayed at a luxurious resort in Wailea, just 30 miles from the devastated town of Lahaina. And Hilton carried her 7-month-old son, Phoenix, along with an inflatable rubber ducky.

The socialite and her venture capitalist strolled along the shore, kissing and ignoring the heartbreak that occurred near them.

The hotel heiress showed off her figure in a tropical-print one-piece with a blue skirt, green hat, and Prada sunglasses.

And Reum stayed cool in pink swim trunks and a black baseball hat. They later went for a walk together.

Paris Hilton – Slammed For Vacation In Maui

However, social media quickly reacted to the sight of Hilton. For instance, several social media critics called Paris an “idiot.”

And one pointed out, “Disgusting. They’ve asked all tourists to leave the island.” Another urged, “Read the room.”

But one source insisted that the couple sought to help the community. And that insider claimed that Paris and Reum have gathered supplies.

They then took the supplies “to shelters and those who need,” added the source.

However, not everyone felt convinced by that claim. For example, one Reddit critic wrote, “Paris Hilton staging a pap shoot in Maui is a new level of distasteful cluelessness. Shame on her and her husband.” And another noted, “Wild of her to do this when she’s been having her PR work overtime on cleaning up her image over the past decade or so.”

One pointed out, “I haven’t forgot about her history of dropping the hard r n-word all over the place.” And another responded, “Thank you. I’m sick of all the love for the Hiltons. Paris is a trashy racist.”

Several agreed, with one critic adding, “This needs a double upvote because it’s a bloody good point and I also haven’t forgotten some of her lovely homophobic comments.”
