Pete Davidson achieved the perfect meet-cute celebrity romance of the year with Kim Kardashian. For instance, the two got together on Saturday Night Live (SNL). And they adorably defied all those predicting that the age difference would ruin the romance. But alas. After nine months of love, the 28-year-old comedian and 41-year-old reality TV star broke up.

However, Davidson refuses to let a celebrity breakup ruin his career. And fans can now look forward to seeing a fictional version of a romance for Pete in his newest project. Find out about the comedian’s new film, Meet Cute, with Kaley Cuoco below.

Kaley Cuoco – Helps Pete Davidson Recover From Broken Heart

Fans of Pete Davidson worried that the SNL alum would suffer heartbreak after his split from Kim Kardashian. But then Kaley Cuoco came to his rescue. And with Kaley portraying Pete’s love interest in their movie, Meet Cute, Davidson found the perfect distraction. An insider told Us magazine that Pete and Kaley immediately became friends.

And the plot actually sounds similar in some ways to Davidson’s real-life romance with Kardashian. The romantic comedy explores the lives of Sheila (Cuoco) and Gary (Davidson). And the two at first appear to meet and experience love at first sight. But then viewers learn that Sheila actually set up the cute meeting behind the scenes.

However, don’t start believing that it seems like a standard romance plot. Because this romantic comedic features a science fiction touch in a time machine! But will Sheila use her time machine for good or for evil?

Meet Cute Star Gushes About Sweet Pete Davidson!

Viewers will discover that Sheila seems determined to transform Gary into her ideal man. (Hmmm, does this sound like Kim Kardashian with Pete Davidson?) But even as Sheila keeps calling on her time machine to travel to Gary’s past, some tricky twists occur.

And the result will enchant the Meet Cute movie’s viewers, promised director Alex Lehmann. “If I had a time machine right now I’d be torn,” he joked. “Do I skip ahead to our release date or do I go back and relive the joy it was making this film? Lucky for me it’s a decision I don’t get to make. I’m excited for audiences to get swept away on this wild romantic ride exclusively on Peacock.”

But while fans take that time travel ride, insiders keep gushing about Pete’s and Kaley’s new friendship. “Kaley and Pete have bonded a lot while filming,” noted one insider. “So much so that they’ve become very good friends. They’re very supportive of each other. And there’s no doubt they’ve been staying in touch post-filming.”

And Kaley gushed about Pete. “We really became very good friends,” she confessed about working together on the film. “And he truly is one of the nicest people in the world.” Fans can watch the two friends acting together when Meet Cute premieres September 21 on Peacock.
