Pete Davidson has been pretty open about his mental struggles, even though he has a lot of them. This year alone, he has reportedly checked into rehab twice. Here’s everything an insider has to say about it.
Pete Davidson Is In A “Pretty Bad Place” Amid the End of “Secret Fling”
Pete Davidson is struggling to get his head straight after he ended his brief romance with The Bachelor villain Maria Georgas, who starred in the reality TV series in hopes of gaining the coveted final rose from the eligible bachelor Joey Graziadei.
A source told the US Sun that the comedian, 31, has opted to return to rehab due to being in a very bad place. “He checked into rehab in Florida fairly recently,” the insider told the outlet. “He flew in on a private jet. He’s in pretty bad shape this time around. He’s not in a good place.”
Davidson, who also enjoyed a brief romance with reality TV queen Kim Kardashian and former model Emily Ratajkowski, entered treatment for the first time this year in July.
The rehab stint came after he successfully completed more than 200 live stand-up comedy shows across the nation, as well as several film projects and the release of his second Netflix comedy special, ‘Turbo Fonzarelli,’ in January.
Busy few months tends to mess with the mental health of even the best of us, so it’s totally understandable.
Davidson’s struggle with his mental health started as far back as September 11, 2001, when he lost his father, who was a New York City firefighter for Ladder 118, in the line of service.
He would visit his first mental health facility at the age of 9.
Pete Davidson On Why He Needs Weed Even After Quitting Other Substances
Pete has been linked to a lot of high profile women, including Ariana Grande, Chase Sui and the aforementioned Kim Kardashian and company, in the past couple of years.
While his romances have always ended disastrously, the star has often been open about his desire to become a better and more sober person.
“I can’t quit [weed] yet. It’s all I have left,” he said at his “Pete Davidson: Rehab Tour” show in Atlantic City, NJ, earlier this month. “I did coke and ketamine and f – king all the pills and all that s**t. All I have is weed left, so it’s almost over, but I’m holding on for a little bit longer.”
