Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond Shares Pictures Of Her Daughter Alex’s Bridal Shower

“It was a dream,” the Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond wrote about her daughter’s bridal shower. She also teased that her daughter Alex and Mauricio’s wedding is less than a month away.

The proud mother didn’t only share pictures, which are all beautiful and dreamy by the way, but she shared details. “I know the day isn’t about me, but here’s my wedding update anyway,” she wrote. The shower was held at the Mercantile restaurant bakery.

The shower, according to Ree Drummond, was hosted by her sister-in-law Missy and Missy’s daughter Halle, along with her BFF Hyacinth and her daughter Meg, who is also Alex’s BFF, and their long-time family friend, Haley.

She joked that she didn’t do anything except “show up and eat.” The rain had previously thwarted their plan to hold the event in an open space arena, and they instead went with the bakery at the Mercantile. That did not stop the shower from being stylistic and beautiful; the decorations were white and soft pink with ivory decorations. The pictures also showed each table with its own mini-bottle of champagne and custom wrapped cookies decorated with frosting that reads Alex and Mauricio.

Ree’s eldest daughter Alex wore a simple white gown and was all smiles at the event as she took pictures with her sister, who killed it in pink, her grandmother, her soon-to-be mother-in-law, her little bridesmaid who is also her cousin, and others. There were also pictures of the bride happily opening her gifts.

She also said that she forgot her gown and only had her go-to trousers, which she explained was the reason why she wasn’t in many pictures as it would ruin the feel of the event, but she said that her shirt’s got butterflies drawn all over them, so she’s not entirely lacking in uniformity.

As for Ree Drummond, she used her traditional quirky tone to show how joyful and excited she is about the upcoming wedding, and oh, she is very proud that her daughter and her future mother-in-law are already besties.

Alex, 23, met her husband-to-be Scott during their freshman year of undergrad at Texas A&M University. In August, the couple shared the news of their engagement. They celebrated their bridal shower on March 27 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.

Ree, 52, shared that she has narrowed her dress choices down to two as the wedding clock ticks down to less than a month away. As for her hairstyle, she’s currently looking forward to styling it half up and half down, though she says she’s inclined to change her mind many times on that front.

She says she’s excited for the upcoming wedding, though she’s a little nervous about their hometown weather as it would be an outdoor event, and that she’s afraid the dogs might get to the food before the guests would have a chance at it as they’re good sniffers, but overall she’s excited.

As for her dress, she further says that she’s a little bit nervous that the zip may not go all the way up and if it did, she may find it hard to breathe. But she made light of the matter by saying that it’s exactly these types of circumstances that a duct tape gets the chance to prove why it was made.
