Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond is currently dealing with a recent family tragedy. Her nephew Caleb is reported to have crashed his car on her ranch Wednesday afternoon.

Ree Drummond – Accident Caused By A Fire Outbreak

A fire had broken out on the Drummond land, and Caleb and Ree’s husband, Ladd, were hurriedly driving along the property line of the ranch attempting to battle a fire that was growing on the land. The pair were both driving a Himmat Fire Truck on County Road N3660.

According to Oklahoma State Patrol, Caleb was driving southbound and Ladd was headed northbound. They had a head on collision due to poor visibility caused by dust and gravel. As reported, neither of them were wearing their seatbelts, but Caleb was the one who got off worse.

Caleb was rushed off to the hospital after the accident, but Ladd was well off enough to refuse medical attention at the scene.

Ree Drummond’s nephew was taken to the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, where he was admitted in critical condition due to having head, leg, and arm injuries, along with other serious injuries, the OHP report said.

No doubt that the family would be eagerly awaiting good news, as having internal injuries is no joke. The state patrol could not determine how fast the vehicles were going before they collided, but being ejected 70 feet indicated that they were traveling at relatively high speeds.

It’s not known how severe Caleb’s injuries are or if he was conscious when he was taken to the hospital, and it is still unclear if the Drummond family would be sharing updates about Caleb’s condition.

Ree Drummond – Fire Outbreak In Drummond Land

It was another normal Wednesday for the Drummond family when a fire appeared so close to Ree’s family farm. Recently, Oklahoma has seen a surge of wildfire this year. According to reports, the fire outbreak scorched more than 200 acres surrounding the Drummond family farm in Osage County on Wednesday.

Caleb is a regular guest on the Pioneer Woman’s farm and his social media pages have several pictures of him helping out with the farm and riding horses. He has been pretty silent on his Instagram page in the weeks following up to the crash.

Ree, who is best known for documenting her daily life as a ranch wife and mother, hasn’t had the time to address the accident publicly, though she is usually fairly active on Instagram.

Though she hasn’t officially made a post of the incident on her Instagram page, her fans were ready to comment on her last post 4 days ago in order to let her know that they’re thinking about her and her family and praying for them.
