Reba McEntire – Will Be Performing A “Brand New” Song At This Year’s Academy Of Country Music Awards
Reba’s making a big comeback this year and there’s nothing that can stop her. Last year, we saw her bring her coaching powers and years of industry experience to The Voice.
At the Superbowl earlier this year, she performed the National Anthem. If you thought that was enough for the superstar, think again.
Next month she’ll once again be joining the likes of Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Clint Black, and Loretta Lynn who have previously hosted the prestigious Academy of Country Music Awards.
Even though these superstars have hosted the show, Reba holds the record for the most times hosting: a record 17 times! And as if that’s not enough, she dropped a major news which sent fans spiraling.
Speaking on the hosting gig, Reba said, “I am tickled to pieces to get to host the ACM Awards for the 17th time!
What an honor to have been part of the past, present and now the future of the Academy of Country Music with Amazon Prime Video. I can’t wait to get to Texas and see everybody May 16th!”
ACM CEO Damon Whiteside, ACM CEO said, “No one has a deeper and richer history with the Academy than Reba, from her many years hosting the ACM Awards, and from her 16 ACM Awards wins including Entertainer of the Year and two ACM anniversary Milestone Awards. With exciting new music coming, extensive television presence and a worldwide fanbase, Reba’s back and better than ever!”
Reba then casually took to social media to share that her first piece of new music in years is almost here..
Reba wrote, “Oh hey @ACMawards, have you missed me? I can’t wait to host this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards – LIVE Thursday, May 16 at 8e | 5p on @PrimeVideo I’ll also be performing brand new music during the show! #RebaACM #ACMawards”
Fans were so excited about the news, with some claiming that Reba is the only reason they’ll tune in to watch the show.
