In fact, the character Peterman is playing is one that wishes she actually is McEntire’s character Bobbie’s sister. Isn’t that quite the plotline?

Peterman, 52, will star as Gabby, a “needy and dramatic” bartender who works at the establishment and wishes she turned out to be Bobbie’s sister.

All We Know About the Upcoming Reba McEntire-helmed Sitcom

Per the press release, the sitcom will follow McEntire’s character Bobbie, who inherits her father’s restaurant but is less than thrilled to find out that it comes with a baggage: she’d have to run it with a half-sister she never knew she had.

Played by Belissa Escobedo, the “enthusiastic 20-something” half-sister Isabella loves to analyze people due to her psychology studies. “She is thrilled to start working at the tavern and is full of ‘great’ ideas about how to bring it to life.” You can already guess Bobbie is going to be learning to make compromises the hard way.

Escobedo also shared her joy to be working with the great master, McEntire, writing, “I’ve been waiting to share this!!!! REBA!!! This cast!!! This script!!! No amount of exclamation marks can do it justice. I am so immensely grateful. The last two years have been an uphill battle (thank you Miley) so this is so very welcomed and appreciated. AHHHH!!!!!!!!”

It’s been a decade since we last saw McEntire play the leading lady in a series, but that’s all about to change with NBCUniversal’s multi-camera sitcom.

McEntire, 68, will be executive producing the sitcom, alongside her former “Reba” EPs Kevin Abbott, Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis. Julie Abbott has also joined as an executive producer.
