Everyone is talking about how Regina Hall the star of “Little” reacted when she found out that Kevin Costner was regrettably absent at the Golden Globes Award ceremony which took place at Beverly Hilton.

Regina Hall — How Regina Reacted To Kevin’s Absence
On Tuesday night’s Golden Globes, Regina was tasked with the presentation of the award for best performance by an actor in a television series – drama. Kevin Costner who was nominated for his performance in “Yellowstone” won the award, and when it was time to present his award to him, Regina had to announce his absence.
The “Girls’ Trip” actress, at first thought that Kevin’s absence was on purpose because he didn’t think he might win.
Reading from the teleprompter script, Regina announced, “[Kevin] so much wanted to be here…” but she couldn’t contain her laughter so she added, “I always like how they write this.” Regina then said, “I mean, if he won then he would’ve really wanted to be here. But you won, so…”

Shifting her attention back to the script she said, “He so much wanted to be here but because of the unprecedented weather and flooding, he has to shelter in place in Santa Barbara.”
While Regina read out that part, she once again found it difficult to hold in her laughter. Her reaction to what she read out caused the audience to join her in laughing too.
Still in the mood for jokes, Regina asked the audience to extend a word of prayer to the absent actor. “Oh Jesus! This is a sad story right now,’ she said. ‘He’s stuck in Santa Barbara! Let’s pray everyone!”
After she came to the realization of what Kevin actually meant, and how serious the weather is in Santa Barbara, Regina immediately chipped in, “No, that’s awful. No, no, no, this is true. Everyone, we do pray, we hope everyone affected by these storms remains safe and I’m going to accept that award right there on your behalf, Kevin.”

Region Hall — Reactions From Fans Over Regina’s Actions At The Golden Globes
When fans saw how Regina reacted to Kevin’s Absence, they couldn’t help but appreciate how effortless it was for the actress to crack jokes.
Someone said, “omg regina hall can’t read her pre-written teleprompter excuse of kevin costner not being there with a straight face…. screaming” another person found Regina’s actions Award-worthy, “Regina Hall finding out why Kevin Costner couldn’t be at the Golden Globes just won next year’s Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Comedy.”
A third added, “Regina Hall accepting that award for Kevin Costner was the funniest thing I’ve seen all year, give that its own Emmy.”
But of course, there can’t be good without evil that’s why some critics chose to see the actions of the “Think Like A Man” actress as a way of making fun of Kevin.
A critic wrote, “I wish more people followed orders so First responders do not continue to risk their lives trying to safe people who think they are above Mother Nature. From a fellow Californian, these storms have been no joke and lives have been lost. I was a fan of yours until tonight. Very poor taste and you took away from a very well deserved honor!”
