The alleged victim claimed that he had a sexual relationship with the General Hospital alum and singer. The accuser also stated that Martin stalked him. In the latest report from TMZ, Martin’s nephew has dropped the allegations and now the 50-year-old celebrity is speaking up.

Dennis Yadiel Sanchez’s Allegations

According to TMZ, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez filed a restraining order against Martin on July 1, 2022. In court documents, the 21-year-old claimed that he had a sexual relationship with his uncle. Sanchez also claimed that after the relationship ended, Martin stalked him and became abusive.

General Hospital Alum Denied Claims

Martin, who is best known as being an international singer, denied the allegations. The GH alum indicated that Sanchez was a very troubled young man who was dealing with severe mental health issues.

Restraining Order Dismissed

On Thursday, July 21, a Puerto Rican judge dismissed the temporary restraining order. This was done at Sanchez’s request. Martin’s legal team issued a statement on the development.

“Just as we had anticipated, the temporary protection order was not extended by the court.”

After the court’s decision, Ricky’s brother, Eric Martin, posted a Facebook Live video. In that clip, Eric said that Sanchez has “a mental problem.” Eric also made a declaration that the “truth prevails.”

GH News: Ricky Martin’s Statement

Ricky has spoken up about the scandal now that Sanchez has withdrawn his allegations. Ricky said that the allegations were painful and devastating. However, the singer hopes that Sanchez can find the help he needs. Ricky added that his wish is for Sanchez to have a “new life filled with love and truth and joy.”

Even though Ricky was in the courtroom, he did not speak. In a video obtained by TMZ, Ricky said that he wasn’t allowed to say anything according to the law in Puerto Rico. Ricky added,

“I‘m in front of the cameras today because I really need to talk in order for me to start my healing process… But I’m going to tell you the truth. It has been so painful. It has been devastating for me, for my family, for my friends. I don’t wish this upon anybody. To the person that was claiming this nonsense, I wish him the best – and I wish he finds the help so he can start a new life filled with love and truth and joy – and he doesn’t hurt anybody else.”

Ricky added that his priority right now is to start the healing process. The singer explained that he is going to heal with music.
