Some people are yet to realize just how bad @badgalriri is or how savage she can get when people make silly jokes about her or say mean things about her loved ones. But one fan has just recently found out, and believe me, the joke’s on them.
Rihanna Makes Play On Critic’s Name With Clapback
Rihanna has a way of squeezing lemons haters throw at her into their own eyes. How can an innocent Woman’s Day post turn into such a battlefield?
All Rihanna did was share her beautiful journey as a mother. Instead of celebrating the star’s joy with her, a fan wrote, “I hate their names so bad.”
The fan commented this under snaps of Rihanna at the hospital holding her newborn sons, who arrived a year apart from each other.
“by far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman…my little miracles!” Rihanna captioned the post at the time. “1- RZA 2- Riot Rose. And yes I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses…don’t ask, a lot was happening,” she added.
In response to the fan trolling her children’s names, an unbothered Rihanna simply replied, “@tatianagalaxxy ok tatiana.”
The Poignant Meaning Behind Rihanna’s Sons’ Names
Rihanna welcomed her firstborn child RZA with A$AP Rocky in May 2022. The following August, she welcomed Riot.
The thing is, even though Rihanna welcomed RZA in 2022, fans only got to learn his name in 2023 when he celebrated his first birthday. At the time they confirmed that it was inspired by the three-letter moniker of the Wu-Tang Clan frontman.
In her February cover story with Harper Bazaar, Rihanna revealed the surprising way their second son ended up being named Riot. According to her, a multi-platinum selling artist was behind it.
“He gave us this name thinking it was going to be a girl, because he had seen something online,” the billionaire told the publication. “Pharrell [Williams] is very deep. He’s not surface.”
She also shared her sons’ differing personalities, saying, “RZA is just an empath. He’s so magical. He loves music. He loves melody. He loves books. He loves water. Bath time, swimming, pool, beach, anything.”
And Riot, he’s just hilarious,” she continued. “When he wakes up, he starts to squeal, scream. Not in a crying way. He just wants to sing. And I’m like, ‘OK, here we go!’ He’s my alarm in the morning! He’s not taking no for an answer from anyone.”
