Riley Keough – Wants To Continue What Her Mother And Grandmother Did For the Elvis Presley Estate
Riley Keough is all about preserving her family’s legacy. As the new owner of the Graceland mansion in Memphis, Tennessee, Keough is committed to doing her best to preserve its legacy for many years to come.
In a PEOPLE interview published on Sunday, the “Daisy Jones & the Six” talked about her dreams and hopes for her family’s home.
“My hope is to continue what my grandmother [Priscilla Presley] did, and then my mother did, which is simply to preserve our family home,” she said.
How Riley Keough And Priscilla Presley Resolved Battle Over Graceland Estate
Even though Presley’s estate fell into contention soon after Lisa Marie Presley’s death, all is now settled and the relations between Keough and her grandmother Priscilla Presley is better improved.
At the time, Priscilla felt that she was hard done by when she learned that her daughter Lisa Marie had removed her as a co-trustee of the estate before her tragic death. “Priscilla took Graceland from bankruptcy to a cash cow as one of the top tourist attractions in America. She thought she deserved more,” an insider revealed at the time.
“Priscilla let Riley know she was tired of all the fighting and wanted to spend the rest of her life at Graceland,” an insider shared months after the duo filed documents against each other for the control of Graceland. “She wants to be buried next to Elvis and Lisa Marie and spend eternity with them on the beautiful grounds of their family home.”
