As the war continued to endanger the people of Ukraine, a massive number of Ukrainians lined up on trains to escape the chaotic situation they currently have in their country. They were trying to venture into their neighboring countries to keep themselves safe, and just last Sunday (February 27), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) reported that there were already 368,000 Ukrainians who managed to escape.
According to the EU Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, the European Union must get ready for millions of Ukrainian refugees in the following days. As stated by the UN agency, there were already 2 million Ukrainians left the country even before the war. Now that Russia invaded their country, over 3 million Ukrainians will need philanthropic assistance.
