Ryan Reynolds Contributed To Blake Lively’s ‘It Ends With Us’ For This Reason

Ryan Reynolds has proven that he’s one thoughtful husband, and while he reportedly knows he can’t pay wife Blake Lively back for all the years she spent out of the spotlight giving birth and raising their children, he wants to make sure her newest project is a big success, even if he has to contribute to it.

At the moment, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are on top of the world. One has the most successful R-rated movie of all time – courtesy of ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ – and the other has a movie that’s sparking conversations left and right and hitting big box office figures worldwide.

However, according to a source, some of ‘It Ends With Us’ success might not have happened if Ryan Reynolds hadn’t stepped in.

The source told the Daily Mail that Reynolds “jumped in to help the film from disaster. Ryan has every right to stick up for his wife especially when it comes to a project she is so passionate about.

Ryan knew when he saw the script that it needed help. Together with Blake, they made sure that it was not only brilliant but reflective of what this story is about.

”

The insider explained that “Ryan didn’t want this to fail for anyone, especially his wife. It was nothing against Justin [Baldoni], but Justin took it personally and it is not Ryan’s fault, nor does he have any apology to give. He got nothing out of this. He didn’t want any credit. He just wanted to see Blake’s first big break back into the business succeed.”

As for the reason Reynolds was keen on contributing to the project, the source noted that he “feels in many ways that Blake sacrificed a lot to raise their children while he was able to continue his dreams and he feels that he owes her so much. He loves her more than anything and he wants her to be able to achieve her dreams. And she will always have her husband’s help, guidance, and support in whatever she does.”

Lively previously opened up about Reynolds’ contributions to her latest movie in an interview with E! News, saying, “The iconic rooftop scene, my husband actually wrote it. Nobody knows that but you now. But he wrote it. He works on everything I do. I work on everything he does. So his wins, his celebrations are mine and mine are his.”
