Ryan Seacrest – Announces Big Plans For His Charity
“American Idol” may have ended in May, but Seacrest’s work was not done yet. The TV personality kept on working hard behind the scenes on his Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which has built state-of-the-art media centers (called Seacrest Studios) in various children’s hospitals all around the country.
He’s not stopping there. While we were enjoying our summer holidays, he was busy planning to head to Queens, New York, to open a new arm of his charity.
This September, he will be opening a brand-new Seacrest Studio at the Cohen Children’s Medical Center in the presence of his family and celebrity friends.
“Hey guys, it is Ryan here,” he emotionally began the clip posted on August 7. “I wanted to share some very exciting news about our 13th Seacrest Studio for the Ryan Seacrest Foundation opening in September at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in Queens, New York.”
He continued: “We have been working on this with the team there for many, many years. So, very excited that it’s gonna open, this state-of-the-art media center … It will be the heartbeat of the whole building, in the atrium for patients and their families to come escape what they might be going through in the hospital.”
Upon learning of Seacrest’s dedication to keep expanding his studios so that it can keep benefiting families across the country, fans praised him for the “incredible program.”
This news is coming three months after he opened his 12th center at the Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis. Starting in 2010, Seacrest has been opening hospitals across the U.S., with another one set to open in Salt Lake City later this year.
