Sacha Baron Cohen And Isla Fisher Announce Their Divorce In Weird Statement

I’m pretty sure that the person who coined the phrase “all good things must come to an end” hadn’t been thinking of Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher when they said that, but nevertheless, it’s sadly now applying to the couple.

After 13 years of marriage and three children together, Cohen and Fisher have decided to go their separate ways.

To prove that they’re true partners even in divorce, the couple put out a joint statement on their social media pages announcing the news.

Baron, 52, and Fisher, 48, have led largely private lives in the years following their marriage in 2010. And continuing with the long-standing tradition, they have asked for privacy as they navigate their divorce process.

“After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage,” they said in a statement shared on Instagram on April 5.

“We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change,” they added. “We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”

In a previous interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly, Fisher touched on her marriage with Cohen. At the time, she admitted that while keeping their marriage a private affair has made it “valuable” to her, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the reason it’s worked as wonderfully as it did.

“I get nervous talking about it because I feel like, by not having my relationship in the public domain and not having spoken about how we met or really talked about our marriage publicly, it’s remained something private and valuable to me,” she shared. “…

But having a shared ability to find humor in the sharpness of life is always going to bring connection. And, otherwise, I just think it’s nice to keep some things for yourself.”
