Scott Disick Reacts To Sofia Richie Engagement

Seems like every woman Scott Disick gets romantically involved with always ends up getting engaged to someone else. As funny as it looks/sounds, it isn’t exactly a thing of great concern to Scott as he made a joke out of it.

Scott Disick’ and Sofia Richie first linked together in 2017 after being spotted canoodling in Cannes, with the youngest daughter to Lionel Richie later getting introduced on the E! reality series that Disick frequented as his girlfriend. They dated for three years before confirming their split in 2020.

Sofia shared her engagement news on 20 April, posting a photo of the proposal on Instagram, as well as a close-up of her new diamond ring. She captioned the post, “Forever isn’t long enough.”

Her fiancé, Elliot Grainge, also confirmed the news on his Instagram account, sharing a sweet photo of the couple embracing, with the caption, “She said yes ❤️❤️❤️.” Sofia then commented on his post: “I love you.”

Scott Disick’s Response – To Sofia’s Engagement

The news of Sofia’s engagement came six months after Scott’s ex-partner and mother of his three children, Kourtney Kardashian, announced her engagement to Travis Barker, after a highly-publicized (and PDA-strewn) relationship.

Reacting to the news, Scott took to Instagram to poke fun at his situation, comparing himself to comedian Dane Cook’s character in the 2007 romcom Good Luck Chuck. He captioned the post, “In the 305 just call me good luck chuck,” alongside an action shot of him riding a luxury speed boat.

The Good Luck Chuck emerges from a luckless man called Charlie Kagan, who – after being cursed by a girl in high school – becomes something of a good luck charm for every woman he dates, as they soon meet and marry the actual man of their dreams after dating him. Sucks to be Chuck.

After seeing two of his exes get happily engaged in the past six months, it’s little wonder that Scott can relate.

His comment section quickly filled with people who ‘got’ the joke, with one fan writing, “Scott you are too funny at least you’re able to make a joke out of all of this😂😂,” and another adding, “There’s the Scott Disick we all know and love.”

Before Scott dated Sofia, he was in an on-off relationship with Kourtney Kardashian between 2006 and 2015, during which time the pair welcomed three children: Mason, Penelope, and Reign.

During an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Scott revealed that Sophia had “literally said with an ultimatum, ‘You have to choose me or Kourtney.’”

In August 2021, Kourt’s ex Younes Bendjima – who she dated between 2016 and 2018 – leaked alleged DMs from Scott, which involved a picture of Kourtney and Travis on a boat with the message, “Yo is this chick ok!???? Broooo like what is this. In the middle of Italy.”

However, during the KUWTK reunion show in 2021, Scott appeared to tell the host Andy Cohen that Kravis had his blessing, saying, “I think if you really love somebody, right, you want them to be happy no matter what. So I do give her a blessing to be happy.”
