See Jessica Simpson’s Reaction To A Fan Confusing Her With Britney Spears

Is this a case of all blondes look alike or is there something deeper to it? Yes, Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson‘s careers draw parallels in more ways than one – both are accomplished musicians, authors, songwriters, and entrepreneurs – but I doubt it’s enough to mix the two.

I mean, Jessica Simpson looks nothing like Britney Spears even with my eyes closed, but I guess some might see a resemblance.

Did you or did you not see Britney Spears at the mall? Actually it wasn’t Britney, sorry, it was Jessica. Even though confusing someone with someone else can be more than just annoying, Jessica chose to laugh it off.

The star took to Instagram on Saturday to share a pic of her and daughter Maxwell Drew making exaggerated shocked faces.

She captioned the cute snap, “The face when someone in the parking lot at the mall asks you for your autograph, but expects you to sign it Britney Spears.”

In her comments section, some fans thought it was a compliment to be mistaken with the great Britney Spears, while others were struggling to understand why anybody would see similarities between the two stars.

One fan cautioned others who thought the post was a shade to Britney, writing, “Lots of sensitive comments going on. Chill! If you were a celebrity, you wouldn’t want someone thinking you’re someone else. You would want them to know who you are in all honesty. No shade thrown here, relax.”

Another thought Jessica was simply making fun of Britney and angrily wrote, “It’s not cool to make fun of a woman whose family ruined her life. I’d venture to guess she’s still a nicer human than @jessicasimpson.”
