Selena Gomez and Emily Blunt individually made rounds on the internet due to a drama that had fans guessing what they said at the 2024 Golden Globes Awards.

While Blunt was spotted sitting and conversing with her husband John Krasinski, Gomez engaged in a serious conversation with her friends.
In a bid to decipher what the stars were saying, several speculations was made and eventually, a lip reader was called. They came to a conclusion that Blunt was talking about divorce, while Gomez felt bad for being turned down by Kylie Jenner.
While the two have come out to debunk the rumors, they recently linked up at American Film Institute Awards in Los Angeles, on January 12, to mock the failed attempt at lip-reading their convictions.
The two posed for a photo together while covering their mouths with their hands. Gomez shared the snap on her Instagram with the caption: “We shall not speak lol.”
Meanwhile, a source later told US Weekly that Blunt and Krasinski never discussed about divorce. “There are no issues with Emily and John,” said the source. “They are absolutely not talking about divorce…They think the rumors are funny and ridiculous.”

Selena Gomez — On Gomez’s Lip-Reading Drama
On the day of the Golden Globes Awards, during a short break, Gomez who was in the midst of her friends Taylor Swift and Miles Teller’s wife, Keleigh Sperry, was spotted in a neck deep conversation with them.
Before long, rumors went flying that Gomez, 31, was complaining to her friends how Kylie, 26, denied her access to Timothee, 28, when she asked to take a picture with him.
What made the rumor seem true was Swift’s facial expression and when Sperry questioned loudly, “With Timothee?” prompting Selena to nod in the affirmative. Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), fans claimed Selena’s gist was that she, “asked for a picture with him and she (Kylie Jenner) said no.”

And without further ado, they called out Gomez for that. One person tweeted, “Selena so real. Whenever something happens to me I’m running straight to my girls.” And another said “Selena messy, always running her mouth.” A third wrote, “She was making sure to yell that loud so everyone could hear her.”
Meanwhile, when the “Monte Carlo” actress caught wind of the rumor, she quickly debunked it saying, “Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up. Not that that’s anyone business.”
