Fans think Selena Gomez’s latest Instagram Story was in response to Hailey Bieber. The former Disney Channel star filmed herself mumbling the lyrics, “The boy is mine.”

Oddly enough, fans couldn’t hear the song in the clip. Selena purposely turned off the sound, which made it hard to tell what she was mumbling.

Some fans argued that this is the way that Selena acts with her own music. Other fans think she’s throwing shade at Hailey Bieber.

In the clip, the Only Murders in the Building star wore a black puffer coat and a matching shirt. Her hair was slicked in a side-part updo. Selena showed off her groomed brows, dark lashes, and red lips.

She put her hand to her head and flashed two diamond rings at the camera. There was also speculation that Selena was hinting that Benny popped the question.

However, a majority of her fans think it was a response to Hailey Bieber’s previous Instagram Story. She had a sly smile on her face as she looked unbothered.

Other fans accused Hailey Beiber of reigniting her feud with Selena Gomez. She reposted a Spotify photo of herself listening to Beyonce’s new version of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.” She added the caption: “Whew” along with the angry face emoji.

The track is featured on Beyonce’s new album, Cowboy Carter. Fans on Reddit have been finding connections between these two Instagram Stories. The original poster stated: “OMG Selena really says, ‘the boy is mine.'”

Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez have also discussed the feud rumors on X, formerly known as Twitter. One fan mused, “Maybe that’s why Hailey is going crazy.” Another user speculated: “Hailey has been shady towards Selena way before Selena was shading Hailey.”

“I think she’s posting it randomly, she’s in love and happy with Benny,” a third user noted.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have been dating for six months.
