Selena Gomez just confirmed a romance that no one could have predicted. And after years of an on-again, off-again romance with Justin Bieber, the songstress confirmed her cozy relationship with Bieber’s close friend and collaborator Benny Blanco.

Not even the most powerful Magic 8-Ball could have predicted Selena Gomez dating her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber‘s buddy.

But a new report reveals that the songstress has devoted the past six months to a secret romance with  producer Benny Blanco. Blanco works as Bieber’s collaborator while also befriending the singer, per Page Six.

And a trail of confirmation now exists on social media. For instance, Selena wrote “Facts” by a post from a fan account that stated, “Selena Gomez Seemingly Confirms That She Is in a Relationship.” And the songstress similar approved a fan account pic with the caption “Selena Gomez Is Rumored to Be Dating Producer Benny Blanco.”

However, Selena also gushed about her new romance with Benny. For instance, she described the 35-year-old as her “absolute everything.” And Gomez, 31, shared her view that Blanco represents “the best thing that’s ever happened” to her.

And Selena threw shade at her ex boyfriend Justin Bieber by comparing him unfavorably to her new man. The songstress revealed that her new boyfriend is “better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Facts. He has treated me better than any human being on this planet.”

However, Selena asked fans to halt any criticism of her new romance. And she shared, “I don’t understand … this is my happiest. If you don’t [care about me] feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never allow your words to guide my life. Ever. I’m done.”

And the songstress added, “If you can’t accept me at my happiest then don’t be in [my] life at all.” However, then she posted a pic in which she canoodled with Blanco. But Selena’s new boyfriend made no comment.

And the two teamed up for the 2021 hit I Can’t Get Enough. Meanwhile, Selena’s mother, Mandy Teefey, follows her new boyfriend on Instagram. And Blanco attended Selena’s 31st birthday celebration in July. 

However, some fans feel concerned about the songstress. Blanco has compared his buddy Justin Bieber to pop singers who all sound the same. And some fans thought he threw shade at Selena when he gushed, “Justin’s not one of those cookie-cutter pop artists. Like you know, they’re like, ‘This is my new single and here’s my makeup line.’ And he’s like, Justin’s like, ‘Yo. I have a pimple and I have anxiety today.’ He’s always been upfront about that stuff.”

However, Blanco made those comments just after Selena unveiled her own makeup line Rare Beauty. And some fans thought that Blanco had thrown shade at her while praising her ex boyfriend Bieber.

Selena and Justin dated off and on for a total of eight years. However, in March 2018, they made their split permanent. And just months later, Bieber tied the knot with Hailey Bieber.
