Of course, we are talking about Sex and the City stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth. Even though they played lovers on the small screen, it seems like they are anything but that in real life.

SJP and Chris have not really been on friendly terms ever Chris’s character, Mr. Big was killed off the spinoff show And Just Like That, following allegations of sexual misconduct by the actor himself.

And now it seems like things might have taken a turn for the worst, as Chris seemed to make an off-colored joke about his former co-star on social media. The actor responded to one of his social media fans by writing, “f–k SJP … right?”

And now Chris says that his comment was taken out of context and that it’s all to do about nothing. He captioned a photo of himself with, “My off the cuff slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot.”

If that weren’t enough, he also added, “It is not news. It is not worth all this discussion. It is a waste of time in a world where there are more important things to worry about.”

Well, it all depends on who you ask because the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter and let’s just say that some people did not hold back like Chris did.

Some even commented with, “Why backpedal? So what a few pinchy-faced casting directors and actors don’t want to work with him. Big deal. He’s still bankable. Once this blows over he’ll be back to work.”

And another critic wrote, “Don’t walk it back, Chris. She didn’t defend you when you were accused without any evidence. And btw, he was never charged or convicted of a thing.”
