Shakira Goes Off On Gerard Pique’s New Girlfriend Clara Chia

Let’s just say that someone is feeling salty, and deservingly so. Shakira is making it no secret that she’s not a fan of her ex-husband’s new girlfriend, Clara Chia. Now, while no one knows just when Gerard Pique began his relationship with his new girlfriend, Shakira is seeming to suggest that she might have entered the picture at the wrong time.

And because of that, she says that there are women who deserve a special place in hell for not supporting other women. Those are her words, and not ours. Here’s what you need to know.

While speaking to Enrique Acevedo on the Mexican channel Canal Estrellas, Shakira talked about her split from the international soccer star by stating, “There is a place in hell reserved for women who don’t support other women.”

Ouch. Those are certainly some strong words from the “Hips Don’t Lie” hitmaker. She then went on to say, “I bought that story, that a woman needed a man to complete herself. I also had that dream of a family where the children had a mum and dad under the same roof.

You don’t achieve all your dreams in life but life has a way of compensating you and I think life has certainly done it with me with the marvelous two children I have who fill me with love every day. I’ve always been emotionally quite dependent on men, I’ve fallen in love with love, and I think I’ve been able to understand that story from another perspective and today I am sufficient on my own.”

If that weren’t enough, Shakira also added that whenever a woman has to face some of life’s biggest battles, then she always comes out stronger.

She continued, “Now paradoxically I feel complete because I depend on myself and I have two children who depend on me and that means I have to be stronger than a lioness. That strength comes out of experiencing a painful loss, of accepting it, of tolerating a frustration, of understanding that life doesn’t always bring us what we want.”
