On November 8, a tour bus and truck carrying the crew of the Canadian singer Shania Twain for her “Queen of Me” tour were involved in a collision that got several passengers injured. Luckily, the “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” singer wasn’t on the bus when the accident occurred.
Following the accident, Shania’s management company Maverick Management released a statement confirming that the accident took place around Winnipeg and Saskatoon, “One crew bus and one truck from the Shania Twain – Queen Of Me tour were involved in a highway accident driving between Winnipeg and Saskatoon.”
The statement continued, “We are incredibly thankful to the emergency services teams for their quick response and ongoing support. We ask for patience as we look after our touring family.”
Later on, a spokesperson for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police reported that a total of 13 people were injured in the accident but their injuries weren’t life-threatening.
The tour bus and truck carrying Shania’s crew were headed to Sasktel Centre in Saskatoon for a show that would take place the next day being Thursday before they got into the accident. The tour stops were scheduled in Calgary (Scotiabank Saddledome), Edmonton (Rogers Place), and Vancouver (Rogers Arena).
