Sharon Osbourne may have been voted out of “Celebrity Big Brother” as fast as Princess Kate’s uncle had been, but not before she shared tidbits about what her career is like overseas, which strictly speaking, was where she thrived at in recent years.
Sharon Osbourne Feels She Is Banned From The USA
“I got banned in America,” she said during a conversation with fellow housemates Lauren Simon and Louis Walsh. “I can legally, but nobody will employ me because they say I’m racist.”
Her mates from the house supported her and insisted there was no way she was racist, especially since she was from a minority group herself.
Walsh particularly told her she did nothing wrong, supporting the statement with the argument that she was a Jew. “I know, and that’s what I said to them!”
Osbourne responded. “They think we don’t know what it’s like to be picked on. I wouldn’t pick on anyone because of their race or religion, ever.”
Sharon Osbourne Was Fired After Defending Piers Morgan
Osbourne’s firing came after she defended Piers Morgan for saying he doesn’t buy into Meghan Markle’s claims that she suffered from mental health issues whilst pregnant.
At the time, co-host Sheryl Underwood warned her of the danger of defending Morgan from the backlash that followed him at the time, saying, “While you are standing by your friend, it appears that you are giving validation or safe haven to something that he has uttered that is racist.”
Osbourne then defended herself, saying, “I feel like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend who many people think is racist, so that makes me a racist.”
Following this segment, backstage accusations against Osbourne surfaced, thereby terminating her career on The Talk.
However, she is not heavily grieving it. While her US opportunities may have dried up, her UK ones are doing just fine.
