Sharon Osbourne Slammed By Sheryl Underwood As The Talk Returns After Feud

Sheryl Underwood The Talk has returned to the air after the show abruptly exited following Sharon Osbourne’s verbal battle with Sheryl Underwood. The talk show had two options: It could seek to pretend that Sharon had never been a co-host… or tackle the feud head-on.

Learn which path The Talk chose, including what Sheryl had to say about Sharon when the show returned. We’ve also got an ICYMI (In Case You Missed It) prelude for those who aren’t quite clear on what happened prior to The Talk’s return to the air.

ICYMI: Why Sharon Osbourne Exited The Talk

On March 14, The Talk abruptly announced a hiatus. And we’re not talking an “oh, let’s take a surprise vacation to film for viewers” type of break either.

The reason? An ugly on-air verbal battle on the March 10 episode of The Talk between 57-year-old Sheryl Underwood and 68-year-old Sharon Osbourne. The two celebrities argued over whether Piers Morgan was racist in his disbelief of Meghan Markle when she said she had faced racism while she was a royal family member in Britain.

From Sharon’s perspective, she had been attacked. Osbourne later told another media outlet that Underwood “reading [questions] off a card.” Sharon insisted that she hadn’t seen any of the questions before, alleging that the other co-host was prepped secretly prior to the episode.

“I’m like, ‘I’ve been set up. They’re setting me up.’ My anger was like, I cannot believe this. I’m your sacrificial lamb,” contended Osbourne.

But as we note below, Underwood has her own scenario for what happened… and she let loose when The Talk (minus Sharon) returned.

Sharon Osbourne Gets Bashed As The Talk Returns

Sheryl Underwood seemed to have no hesitation in describing exactly how her on-air battle with Sharon Osbourne affected her as The Talk returned to the air. However, Underwood understandably offered her own versions of what happened prior to the return.

Joined by Carrie Ann Inaba, Amanda Kloots and Elaine Welteroth, Sheryl participated in a discussion about race during the Monday, April 12, episode of The Talk.

“As you may know, during our break, Sharon decided to leave The Talk. We need to process the events of that day and what happened since, so we can get to the healing,” said Underwood. “Over the next hour, we will honestly discuss what occurred and explore some of our feelings.”

de calmly, she quickly became emotional as she said that she experienced “trauma” from her televised verbal war with Sharon Osbourne.

“I feel like I’ve been in, like, PTSD because it was a trauma,” Underwood asserted.

Sheryl said that she escalated the conversation with Sharon because she wanted “to be an example for others to follow.”

But she wasn’t the only co-host on The Talk to target Osbourne.

One of the other stars of the talk show, Elaine Welteroth, bashed Sharon for going “off the rails into disrespect” during Osbourne’s argument with Sheryl. Although Sharon said she later apologized privately, Osbourne also was the one who appears to have won the ultimate war.

Not only is Sharon Osbourne now free to star on a different TV show, but she reportedly received a pay-out of as much as $10 million.

It's a dumb show anyway. Sharon can do lots of other things. Why does all this sh*t have to be publized to the world. That's part of the reason I hate talk shows.
