Shia went on to say that he reached out to Olivia several months back to reconcile over their “failed collaboration”

Diving into what brought about him writing to Olivia, Shia said he heard Olivia say that he was fired meanwhile both he and Olivia knew that he left on his own, and it was because the rehearsal time for the actors was not enough “…You and I both know the reasons for my exit. Shia LaBeouf — Shia Pleads With Olivia To Change The Narrative

Shia went on to tell Olivia in the email that he is aware that she is starting her press run for DWD and that the news of Shia being fired would be a good “clickbait” however, he is more concerned about his daughter growing up to read something like that which is not the truth about her father, and giving his notorious reputation which he is doing his best to change, it would be difficult to not believe that Shia was fired. Shia said the terrible things which he has done, he owns up to doing them but he would not own up to being fired because he wasn’t. He quit the show.

Shia went on to tell Olivia that If “lies are repeated enough in the public they become truth,” and it would make it difficult for him to crawl out of the hole he dug for himself. Finally, Shia begged Olivia to change the narrative while strongly insisting that he was never fired. “Firing me never took place, Olivia. And while I fully understand the attractiveness of pushing that story because of the current social landscape, the social currency that brings. It is not the truth. So I am humbly asking, as a person with an eye toward making things right, that you correct the narrative as best you can.”
