Simone Biles Ties The Knot With Jonathan Owens In Lavish Ceremony

The Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, said “I Do” to together-forever with the love of her life NFL star Jonathan Owens. The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at the 1910 Harris County Courthouse in Houston on Friday, April 21.

Simone looked adorable in her simple but gorgeous, white, ruffled, halter wedding gown, while Johnathan rocked a tan tux with no tie. They both took to Instagram the following day April 12, to share pictures of the glorious moment.

Simone captioned her post, “I do, Officially Owens.” Without wasting time, Johnathan commented under his wife’s post, “Wifey got a great ring to it ❤️ First day of forever.” He also made a separate post of his own with pictures from their wedding and captioned it, “My person, forever #TheOwens #itsofficial.”

The gymnast, 26, and the Houston Texans player, 27, began dating in early 2020. Two years down the road, on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2022, Jonathan popped the question and Simone accepted.

Simone took to her Instagram account to share the good news with her followers with pictures from the proposal day, she wrote “THE EASIEST YES,” as the caption, and she also added, “I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you. You’re everything I dreamed of and more! let’s get married FIANCÉ.”

Jonathan, on the other hand, confirmed the news by telling his followers how he slept single and woke up an engaged man. “Woke up this morning with a fiancée.” He also shared the details of how he successfully pulled off the surprise engagement.

Earlier this month, on April 7, Simone shared a sneak peek into her memorable bridal shower, she captioned the clip “can’t stop thinking about how beautiful my bridal shower was.”

The following week, on April 15, Simone showed off their marriage license on Instagram with the caption, “almost time to say ‘I do.’”

Simone Biles — Simone’s Wedding Planning

Simone revealed to E! News how she felt the moment she found her wedding gown. The Ohio native said that when she found her wedding dress, “I had my best friend and my mom there and then once we found the dress, we did FaceTime Jonathan’s mom so that she could see it.”

“But it was just a very, close tight knit group. I didn’t show all my friends because we still wanted it to be special for everybody. It was something I didn’t think I would go with, which was so crazy because I came in with a list of my likes, what I want it to look like and then I kind of did the complete opposite of that,” explained Simone.

Speaking about how she’s been planning her wedding, Simone told her fans she wouldn’t be a “bridezilla” because she knows what she wants. “Wedding planning has been going well so far, it’s so exciting for me, I’m obsessed.”

“I don’t think I’ll be a bridezilla because I’m making sure I know exactly what I want. Also I’ll definitely hire a planner [because] between this & building a house, our hands are full.”
