Sylvester Stallone Bids Goodbye To California As He Prepares For Move to Florida

Sylvester Stallone’s wife, Jennifer, wants a change of pace and environment for herself and her family, so much so that they’re preparing to say their “permanent” goodbyes to California. The Stallones are moving cross-country to the Sunshine State.

The “Rambo” star and his family are leaving Hollywood behind for Florida. The decision did not come easy, as Stallone rather confessed when he announced the news to his three daughters during the season 2 premiere of their show, “The Family Stallone.”

“After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided, time to move on and leave the state of California permanently, and we’re going to go to Florida,” Stallone said.

Per the Palm Beach Daily News, Stallone purchased an impressive property of 13,241-square-foot in Palm Beach for $35.58 million in 2020.

While the girls’ were still marveling at this piece of news, Stallone informed them that they have every thought of selling their Palm Beach property. “We’re gonna sell the house,” Stallone said to Scarlet, 21, Sistine, 25, and Sophia, 27. “We already have the place, it’s a done deal.”

Wow. That fast? But I guess it’s the Stallone way.

In fact Florida was so delighted with the news that the wife of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Casey, took to X to personally welcome them to their state.

“Welcome to the Free State of Florida!” Casey wrote. “In addition to respecting and protecting your God-given, constitutional right to be free, you can also buy toothpaste without having an armed guard in CVS unlock it for you,” she finished, adding an uplifting hands emoji.

Sylvester Stallone Didn’t Originally Want To Leave California

Their decision to move from California was mostly inspired by the fact that they’re now mostly alone at home, with all three of their daughters having moved out.

“I raised all three of our daughters in California,” Jennifer said during the episode. “Everything’s a memory to me, memories of them not being there anymore. So, I needed a big change and Sly went along with it.”

Even though there are tons of good and happy memories that the family have had in the state, Jennifer felt that a change of place will add a splash of wonder to her life.

Later on in the episode, we learned that Stallone opposed the plan at the very beginning.

“We have a lot of roots in California, so it’s not an easy transition to Florida,” Stallone said in a confessional. “But, Jennifer really had her heart set on it. I gave in.”
