Sylvester Stallone, Rambo has already found a replacement for the modern age, and it’s not who you think it is.
Sylvester Stallone – Endorses This “Barbie” Actor For the Role of Rambo
Obviously, Sylvester Stallone wants his next “Rambo” replacement to be a “good looking” actor, and if that actor also happens to love the original franchise, then the better.
Okay, who did the 77-year-old actor pick for the role he so masterfully portrayed across five movies? Ryan Gosling. Yup, you read it right!
Stallone chose Gosling for the lead role of the action franchise during his latest appearance on The Tonight Show.
“I met [Ryan Gosling] at dinner. Obviously we are opposites. He’s good looking. I’m not. Seriously! Could you imagine me as Ken? It doesn’t work at all,” he replied when he was asked the reason Ryan was his first choice to play the US Army Special Forces veteran.
He continued: “Ryan goes, ‘I was fascinated by Rambo and I used to go to school dressed as Rambo and people would chase me away and I still didn’t stop. He just kept saying that he had a lot of affiliation with Rambo, And I thought, you know, this is interesting.”
“If I ever pass the baton, I’ll pass it on to him because he loves the character,” Sylvester concluded. Interesting choice for a Rambo isn’t it?
The synopsis for the first movie, “Rambo: First Blood,” reads: “A troubled and misunderstood war veteran gets on the wrong side of a cruel small-town sheriff. Unfortunately, this results in a manhunt that forces him to fight for his survival.”
In 2019, Sylvester Stallone Returned For Another Installment Of The Hit Franchise, Nearly Four Decades After The First Movie.
“Rambo: Last Blood’s” synopsis reads: “John Rambo’s peaceful life is interrupted when Gabriela, his friend’s granddaughter, disappears in Mexico. He decides to free her from the clutches of local cartels, starting a cycle of revenge.”
If Gosling becomes cast as Stallone’s replacement, the “Barbie” and “La La Land” star, 43, would step into the role of one of the greatest heroes television has ever seen.
