T.I Expresses Gratitude For Last Gig
Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity, T.I., 44, stated, “I appreciate y’all for offering me my last working gig because I do not need the money anymore and I will not be performing,” he said during the conversation. “I don’t want to do it anymore…I don’t want people to pay me to hop around and sweat for their entertainment anymore.”
Young Dro, T.I.’s longtime collaborator, humorously remarked that he would take on any shows that T.I. decides to skip, saying, “I will be picking up all of Tip’s shows that he ain’t going to. Doing them all,”
When host Ferrari Simmons inquired about T.I.’s involvement in other upcoming performances, T.I. responded with a touch of humor: “Of course, I’m going to answer the phone to tell them that I will not be performing.” However, he clarified that he might perform again but only under his own terms.
Victory For Lawsuit Against MGA Entertainment
In a separate development, T.I. and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, recently won a $71 million lawsuit against MGA Entertainment.
The lawsuit alleged that the toy company infringed on the intellectual property rights of their music group, the OMG Girlz, by using similar designs in their L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. dolls.
Tiny expressed her joy over the outcome during an Instagram Live session outside a California courthouse, stating, “We did this for the city. We did this for the culture. It was a fight. It was a hell of a fight. We couldn’t be more happy.”
This announcement marks the end of an era for T.I., who has significantly influenced the hip-hop scene since his debut. He hinted at evolving beyond his career as a rapper, mentioning plans for a final double album titled Kill The King and Kiss The King.
