Taylor Swift Fan LIES To Defend Songstress Amid Private Jet Backlash!

Taylor Swift fans, known as Swifties, will do anything for their songstress goddess. And in the case of one Swiftie, that includes lying. But the devoted fan apparently couldn’t resist trying to protect Taylor from the outrage over her private jet.

Music and movie stars know that their fans often will go to great lengths to defend them (just ask Johnny Depp!). But one fan took that devotion to new heights. And when Taylor Swift got dubbed a climate criminal, the fan lied to defend the songstress, noted TMZ.

However, even getting outed for lying didn’t stop the fan’s defense.  The brouhaha began when Taylor appeared on a list of stars using private jets the most. And so the devoted fan, named Britt, tweeted in response her all-capital-letters praise for Swift.

“TAYLOR SWIFT JUST OFFERED TO DONATE 10K TO MY ENVIRONMENT ORGANIZATION?? THIS IS BIGGER THAN ALL OUR DONATIONS FROM THE PAST 3 MONTHS. THANK YOU SO MUCH @taylorswift13,” posted the fan. However, the environmental charity in question, supposedly named the National Environmental Protection Agency, doesn’t seem to exist.

Taylor Swift’s – Rep Tries To Defend Climate Crimes

But although Swift’s fan didn’t succeed in acting swiftly enough to hide her lies, Taylor’s rep did. And the singer’s spokesperson insisted that the chart showing Swift at the top doesn’t represent the true story. Because Taylor lends her jet to other entertainers, the Look What You Made Me Do songstress doesn’t rank as a climate criminal, said her rep via MSN.

The spokesperson couldn’t deny that the chart does show which private jets produce the most carbon dioxide emissions. But Taylor “regularly” helps out other entertainers by letting them use her jet, said her rep. “Taylor’s jet is loaned out regularly to other individuals. To attribute most or all of these trips to her is blatantly incorrect,” added the spokesperson.

However, the report titled Celebs with the Worst Private Jet Co2 Emissions may not exactly win for accuracy for several reasons. First, it got pieced together by the Yard marketing agency. And second, that agency used data from a Twitter account, Celebrity Jets, rather than doing original research. As a result, the agency admitted that the chart does not offer a “conclusive” report. Entertainers dominate the list, and the Celeb Jets Twitter account’s owner runs other accounts that follow the private jets of billionaries such as Elon Musk.
